Luminous Offerings for Women

Waxing Moon Dance – The Golden Handle

February o8, 2025, Barwon Downs, VIC

Luminous Offerings is a project series designed to activate and nourish women’s creative health and well-being through movement, making and storytelling in regional communities.

This workshop sold out with twelve women attending- some returning participants from the previous workshop, as well as many new faces, who were curious and excited to explore the practice.

The theme colour was gold. The venue was activated with lighting installations, sound, sensory areas, and creative props used as markers, as well as for dance.

This session explored the waning gibbous moon phase, and was inspired by the elusive golden handle –  a play of light on the moon occurring three days before the full moon.

Participants explored sword play, outdoor movement, and art activities. The session ended with our signature “AfterMoon” Tea.
