Light Up Camperdown

The Light Up Camperdown Project is an exciting new initiative by the Corangamite Shire Council partnering with Camperdown Community House and Camperdown Rotary Club. The inaugural event was a celebration of lanterns, lighting, projections, and interactive activities including a lantern parade, roving entertainment, youth buskers and twilight market.

WildHoney was invited to create and host Lantern Making Workshops in the week leading up to the event, engaging over 400 participants, including students from St Patrick’s Primary School and Camperdown College. A sold-out Adult Willow Lantern Making Workshop was held in the evening at the Farmhouse @153 Cafe, along with an Event Stall. Participants were encouraged to join the Lantern Parade led by WildHoney’s Illuminates stilt performers. The parade culminated in creating an  “Avenue of Light” at the base of the town’s iconic Clocktower, where participants could witness the Clocktower and Courthouse being lit and illuminated for the first time.

Light up Camperdown Light and Lantern Festival took place on December 8th and attracted over 1500 people.
